Laurel and Hardy -- the world's greatest comedy team -- face an uncertain future as their golden era of Hollywood films remain long behind them. Diminished by age, the duo set out to reconnect with their adoring fans by touring variety halls in Britain in 1953. The shows become an instant hit, but Stan and Ollie can't quite shake the past as long-buried tension and Hardy's failing health start to threaten their precious partnership.

What is Bury Community Cinema

Bury Community Cinema hosts films at the Bury Village Hall in West Sussex.

Films are shown in the main hall and at this time we do not have an alcohol licence but we encourage those who wish to bring their own and we will supply the glasses and corkscrews etc.  This project is new and just starting so we are looking to take on all of your suggestions etc.

There are a small selection of snacks available to purchase on the night of the film and we are selling tickets online (where you can print at home) and you can book your seats in advance.

We plan to show films designed for adults most months but we also plan to show a kid friendly film before the later film screening.

Tickets can be bought online here https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/bury-community-cinema/events or on the door.  Call 07983 429073 to reserve tickets or email info@burycommunitycinema.org to have tickets ready on the door to collect.
